A 34-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound outside the built-up area of Caracui village of Hâncești district on Sunday. He was transported to the Hâncești District Hospital. It is not yet known how he was wounded, but he is conscious and is be questioned, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, it was preliminarily established that the man, together with another 16 persons. organized an authorized wild boar hunt on a wooded area in the locality. Based on the seized documents, it was established that all 17 men are legal owners of guns and hold hunting licenses. Most of them are related.
The wounded man said he accidentally shot himself, but other versions are also being examined.
After the incident, all the guns were seized and two persons were detained. The reasons for the detention weren’t specified.
The online press reported that the wounded man is Vasile Moraru, the head of the Hâncești Ecological Inspectorate.
