Man with grenade only fined as he admitted guilt

The Prosecutor's Office of Rascani district stopped the legal case opened against Leonid Zubin, who tried to convince the Prosecutor General's Office (PG) to reexamine the case against his son on October 15, threatening to explode a grenade. He will be punished administratively with fine of 1,500 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the PG's press service. During the investigation, the prosecutors established that in May 2009, Leonid Zubin, 58, purchased an RG-42 grenade and a pair of handcuffs from unidentified persons. He kept the grenade and the handcuffs at his home in Soldanesti town. The prosecutors decided to stop the investigation as the man accepted blame, did not hinder the inquiry and had never broken the law. The police are trying to discover the identity of the persons who sold the grenade to the man.
