The man who left his son without a finger may be imprisoned for up to five years. The incident happened in a village in Hancesti district on April 8. In a communiqué, the Prosecutor General’s Office informs that the investigation into this case was closed and the criminal case was sent to court, IPN reports.

Angry that his boy stole things from a household, his father cut one of his son’s fingers. The 33-year-old man explained that he decided to punish his son this way because the boy earlier also committed thefts. The victim is 12.

Under the restraining order, the culprit, who is investigated on the outside, must not come close to his family’s home during 90 days. The man admitted his guilt.
