The man who raped his 11-year-old stepdaughter for several times and made her pregnant was given life imprisonment. The sentence was pronounced by the Strășeni Court, IPN reports.

The court noted that the defendant partially admitted his guilt. According to the materials of the case, he sexually abused the 11-year-old girl in the course of 2023. Through physical coercion, he had sex with her for several times and, as a result, the minor became pregnant.

If the sentence remains final, the convict will serve his sentence in a closed prison.

The 11-year-old girl gave birth in mid-January this year and the case became known two weeks later. A criminal case was then started. Shortly afterward, the stepfather was detained and then placed under arrest. Initially, the minor said that she was impregnant by a boy from another locality. The girl’s mother was working abroad and the minor girl and two of her brothers were in the care of the defendant.
