The man who was imposed to pay a customs tax of 900 lei on the clothes he bought in Romania for his children got his money back from the Customs Service. It happened after he complained to the Premier that he was taxed unjustifiably. In the last meeting of the Cabinet, Pavel Filip requested the customs chiefs to take this case under control and to pay the money back to the man.
Press officer of the Customs Service Cristina Rău has told IPN that the person on September 14 was informed that the TV-14 form was annulled and he will be paid back 917.54 lei
In the September 12 meeting of the Cabinet, the Premier said he received a letter from a citizen who said that he was obliged to pay a customs tax of about 900 lei for clothes worth 2,600 de lei that he bought in Romania for his two children. Pavel Filip asked that the person should be paid the money back and that apologies should be made to him. He noted that the persons who do not know how to work with the people should not work in the public service.
