An unidentified mam committed suicide by jumping from the viaduct that connects Chisinau's Centru and Botanica districts. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man is aged 35-40. He climbed on the balustrade at 12.00 on Monday and jumped from a height of about 25 meters before the eyes of dozens of drivers. He died on the spot. Another man aged 43 fell from a height of 6-7 meters on a building site located on Uzinelor St. The man suffered a backbone trauma, contusion of the internal organs and fractures of the ribs. He was taken to the Emergency Hospital. A 40-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Volkswagen at the intersection of the streets Columna and Ismail. The victim was admitted to the reanimatology section of the Emergency Hospital with an open cranial-cerebral trauma and fractures of both of the legs. On Monday, May 3, the Chisinau ambulances traveled to 776 addresses, dealing with 60 cases of acute viral infection, 69 cases of trauma, eight strokes and a heart attack.
