A man threw himself into the Nistru and injured himself extremely. The doctors say he may never be able to walk again. The drama occurred last Sunday, near a beach in Vadul lui Vodă. The coordinating-doctor of the Chisinau Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, has told Info-Prim Neo the man, aged 34, in a state of intoxication, jumped into the water, hitting the river bed. He broke his spine and is now paralyzed down from his neck. A woman of 24, with psychic problems, jumped from the 7th store of a building on Tudor Vladimirescu str. in Chisinau. She survived, but suffered severe injuries. An unidentified man, of about 60-62, severely intoxicated, was found on Ismail str. and was rushed to the Emergency hospital with grave woulds. Two men aged 20 and 21 years were attacked by unidentified people at about 23.30 on Dacia blvd. and were hospitalized with brain traumas. In the morning of June 23, a man of 27, intoxicated, wonderfully survived after falling form a bridge, at a height of 10 meters. Heading for his friends under the bridge, he decided not to go round, but to jump on a nearby building. Falling on sand, he only broke one leg. The last day and night, the Ambulance Service recorded 740 calls.
