[UPDATE _10.15] “It's all over. Minister of the Interior Victor Catan and Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko are having discussions with the man. He is from Ialoveni and is called Eduard Popa. He resorted to such an act over a legal case opened against him in 2005-2006 and because he was mistreated by employees of the Ialoveni police station,” the head of the Ministry of the Interior's press office Chiril Motpan told the reporters. Motpan said the man did not have a bomb on him, only a model. Discussions are now held at the PG involving the man, the Minister of the Interior, the Prosecutor General and Ialoveni officials.
[UPDATE _10.00] Several minutes ago, the man accompanied by the Prosecutor General and several other prosecutors entered the PG. Police cars, firefighting vehicles and an ambulance are on the scene.
A man threatens he will explode a bomb in front of the Prosecutor General's Office (PG). Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko is trying to negotiate with him. The reasons why the man does it are not yet known, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The personnel of the Prosecutor General's Office have been evacuated. Mitropolit Banulescu-Bodoni St, the section between Petru Rares and Alexandru cel Bun streets, has been closed for traffic. Officials of the PG have made no statements yet.
The PG experienced a similar case last year. On October 15, a man from Rezina threatened to blow up a grenade because his son was imprisoned for murder unjustifiably. After several minutes of negotiations, the man was taken away by a police car.
