A man from the Transnistrian region is suspected of ordering the murder of his ex-wife who lives in Bălți and looks after three minors. He was caught by the police and prosecutors when he intended to meet with the potential killer, IPN reports, quoting the General Police Inspectorate.
The police searched the man and found foreign currency to the value of 93,000 lei on him. The money was allegedly the reward for the planned murder.
The man had hostile relations with his ex-wife and several times attempted to recruit “killers”, providing these with pictures of her and of the house in which she lives and telling them how he wants the woman to be murdered.
Prosecutors of the Bălți Prosecutor’s Office, together with investigation officers, have monitored this case since April, when they came into possession of information showing that the man wanted his ex-wife to be killed.
