Man survives high-voltage electrocution
A man from Tvardita village, Taraclia remained alive after 10,000 volts passed through his body, Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Ion Proca has told Info-Prim Neo.
The 37-year-old man was working on the roof of a house under construction in Durlesti town and accidentally touched the high-voltage power lines with his hands. He was rushed to the hospital with second- and third-degree burns on both of the hands.
The same day, a man suffered an accident at work. He was on the arm of a crane, when the equipment yielded and started to fall. At about one meter from the ground, it stopped and a tragedy was avoided. However, the man suffered a backbone injury.
A woman in her 40s was admitted to the reanimatology section of the Emergency Hospital in an extremely serious condition. She fell from a wall of about three meters and hit her head on the asphalt. She sustained a closed trauma of the internal organs and a skull fracture.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 779 emergencies, including 64 cases of acute viral infection, 48 cases of trauma, six strokes and four heart attacks.
