Man survives fall from fifth floor
An out-of-town man, 30, miraculously survived a fall from the fifth floor of an apartment block in Chisinau.
Dr. Eufalia Negreata of the Chisinau Emergency Service has told Info-Prim Neo that the man, a Cimislia resident, was visiting some friends on Sucevita Street. Being drunk, the man lost his balance and fell from the fifth floor. Happily, his fall was cushioned by the branches of a nearby tree. The next few weeks the victim, who suffered brain concussion and head trauma, will be in the care of the Emergency Hospital doctors.
A 21-year-old male student was assaulted by unknown persons as he walked along Igor Vieru Street last night. With a stab wound to the left chest and hemorrhagic shock, the man was admitted to the Emergency Hospital.
A taxicab, 1433, collided with a BMW car on Cantemir Street. The taxi driver, a 21-year-old man, suffered brain concussion.
Over the past day and night, the Chisinau Emergency Service recorded 700 calls, including 57 cases of acute viroses, 72 cases of trauma, 10 acute coronary syndrome reports, and 7 brain strokes.
