Man survives fall from building site
A 45-year-old man suffered multiple injuries after falling from height at a Chisinau building site.
Emergency Service coordinating-doctor Ludmila Untura has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred at around 5:00 PM at a building site on Lvov Street. The man slipped and fell two floors, suffering trauma on the left chest, fractures of several ribs and of the left shank bones, being admitted to the Emergency Service.
Another man, 40, was found hanged in his home on Arbore Street. Circumstantial evidence indicated suicide.
A 19-year-old drunk woman bought a bottle of valerian pills from a drugstore on Sarmizegetusa Street and took them all right in front of the drugstore. Another young woman, 20, took different pills in a suicide attempt, but was discovered and rushed to the hospital for detox.
On Friday early morning at around 2:00 a taxi 1499 collided violently with a Straseni-plated Dacia car on Andrei Doga Street. As a result, the taxi driver, aged 24, and two female passengers, 21 and 22, suffered various injuries.
On Thursday, March 27, the Chisinau Emergency Service received 721 calls, responding to 57 cases of trauma, 49 cases of acute viral diseases, 8 brain strokes and 78 cases of mumps.
