A man aged 69 from Rezina town suffered serious injures in a house fire last night. The firefighters were called by a relative, who smelt smoke. The man was admitted to the hospital, IPN reports.

The flames destroyed the roof and the objects in one room. Employees of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service are examining the scene to find out the cause of fire. The violation of the antifire rules when using the stove is a preliminary version.

As many as 627 fires happened in Moldova so far this year. They claimed 51 lives.
