A Chisinau resident who was going home last night with a large sum of money on him was robbed and shot by unidentified persons in the chest. Chisinau Ambulance Service coordinating doctor Anatol Proca has told Info-Prim Neo that the victim's wife called an ambulance at about 3am. She told the doctors that her husband aged 59 was returning home from a bar when he was attacked and shot by several individuals. The two shots in the chest were not fatal. The man is now being treated at the Emergency Hospital. The police are investigating the case. A man aged 48 and his female partner of 34 were admitted to Saint Trinity Hospital with carbon monoxide positioning last night. The two got poisoned in a fire caused by a smoldering cigarette. Both were under the influence. A homeless man and woman found on the street were taken to the Emergency Hospital with general hypothermia. The Chisinau ambulance teams yesterday and last night had dealt with 676 emergencies, including 62 cases of acute viral infection, 66 cases of trauma, eight strokes and two heart attacks.
