A Chisinau man was sentenced to 21 years in prison for pimping, sexual assault, human and child trafficking, IPN learned from a press release of the Prosecutor General's Office

The PGO informs that in November 2010, the man recruited and persuaded into prostitution five young women, including a minor. The women worked in an apartment in Chisinau, where they also lived.

According to the investigation, the man promised the women half of the fees they charged for sexual services. The money was used by them to pay the rent for the apartment.

The prosecutors also accused the man of luring one of the women to the city outskirts and raping her.

The sentence can be appealed.
