A 38-year-old man native of Russia got 15 years in jail for stabbing a couple from Chisinau. He came to the apartment of a woman who provided sexual services for money and came into a conflict with her husband who asked for a larger sum of money. He stabbed the two with a knife. The man died, while his wife suffered serious injuries, IPN reports.

The Prosecutor General’s Office said the culprit in November 20, 2022 went to a theater play in Chisinau. He later obtained the contact data of a woman who had sex for money and agreed the price with her. He went to the woman’s apartment in Botanica district of Chisinau, where the sexual intercourse occurred. Towards morning, the woman’s husband came to the room where the two were and asked for more money from the man in recompense for verbal insults to his wife.

As a result of the conflict, the men got into a fight and the culprit stabbed the two with a knife he had on him for multiple times. The man died as a result of the received injuries. The woman survived, being rushed to the hospital in a serious state.

The Buiucani Court of Chisinau sentenced the man to 15 years in jail. The sentence can be challenged in the Chisinau Appeals Court within 15 days.
