Man poisoned by gases emitted by clothes dried on electric radiator

A man aged 84 died poisoned by gases emitted by the clothes that he put on the electric radiator to dry and that caught fire. It happened in a house in Ceadir-Lunga town on January 20, IPN reports.

The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service said the first investigations show that the fire started because the man violated the rules of using the electrical device. The people are warned against drying clothes on electrical heaters or stoves.

The 132 fires that occurred in Moldova so far this year resulted in 26 deaths. Three of the victims were children.
