A 40-year-old man from Falesti district cut the throat of a young man after christening his son. The Falesti district court sentenced the man to 11 years in prison, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Prosecutor General's Office. The incident happened close to midnight. The man was celebrating the christening of his younger son. Being under the influence of alcohol, he went out and met several young men in the street. He started to quarrel with one of them. He took his knife out of the pocket and cut his throat. The young man died. The offender had earlier served 10 years for theft. The prosecutors consider the sentence is too lenient and intend to appeal it to the Balti Court of Appeals.
