Man killed in fire caused by smoldering cigarette
A man aged 55 from Hlinaia village of Edinet district lost his life in a house fire last night.
Emergencies Service spokeswoman Dorina Sochirca has told Info-Prim Neo that the owner of the house died from carbon monoxide poisoning. According to the firefighters, the fire was most probably caused by a smoldering cigarette.
Employees of the local mayor's office told the Agency that the man did not work and lived alone. He divorced his wife 20 years ago. His daughter lives in Edinet town.
