Man killed in car accident caused by former schoolmate

A 20-year-old man died last night after struck by a car that was driven by a co-villager and former schoolmate who ran away from the place of the accident.
Paulina Yakimovski, senior PR specialist at the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened on the local road Donduseni – Mosana. On the way to the hospital, the injured young man died. The police soon caught the driver.
Three boys aged are in a serious condition after they were injured in a road accident near Taregrad, Drochia, on July 4. The children were crossing the street illegally, by themselves, when they were struck by a Mercedes. The 22-year-old driver could not avoid the impact.
The boys suffered contusions, cranial-cerebral traumas, fractures and other injuries. All the three were admitted to the Drochia district hospital.
Five young persons aged 21 and 22 who were traveling in a Hyundai driven by a 22-year-old woman suffered different traumas when their car ran into the back of a KAMAZ truck on the Chisinau – Cahul road.
The driver of a BMW aged 26 lost control of the car and crashed it into a tree on the Nisporeni-Balauresti road. The car overturned. The man was taken to the district hospital with multiple injuries.
One person was killed and 37 injured in 22 road accidents all over Moldova on Saturday and Sunday.
