A man aged 41 died, whole another two men from the same car were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Anenii Noi district in the evening of March 28.

Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate press officer Silvia Vetcu has told IPN that the accident occurred on the road section between the villages Mereni and Chirca. The 52-year-old driver lost control of the car. This skidded off the road and crashed into a roadside tree.

The impact was fatal for one of the passengers. The driver and another passenger aged 26 were taken to the Emergency Medicine Institute in Chisinau with different traumas.

Asked by IPN to provide details, the Institute’s press officer Cristina Gorea said both of the men were admitted to the intensive care section. One of them suffered polytrauma, fracture of the pelvis and other injuries and is in a serious state. The other man also suffered multiple injuries. He is conscious, but was intubated.

A police investigation is under way to determine all the circumstances of the accident.
