Man, held up on suspicions of having killed neighbor
A 36-year-old man was held up by the police, being accused of having murdered his neighbor. The murder would have been committed in a household in Glodeni. The victim was 55 years old, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the information posted by the Interior Ministry on its web site, the man went to his neighbor to ask for the money she owed him. They started to fight and the man stabbed her with a knife. The hit proved to be fatal.
The suspect recognized his guilt and says he was drunk. He told the police he killed another neighbor three years ago, and buried her corpse in the outskirts of Glodeni town.
If found guilty, the man may serve a sentence from 20 to 25 years or be jailed for life. The police has registered 27 murders since earlier this year in Moldova.
