A 31-year-old man was sentenced to one year in jail for beating his mother, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to the prosecutors, while under the influence the man started to beat his mother because she asked him to do some housework. The woman aged 68 was sick and moved with difficulty. The court gave the man one year in prison for family violence. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
