An inhabitant of Puhăceni village of Anenii Noi district was sentenced to life because last autumn he killed a man from the same village aged 22 and set fire to the body. Three accomplices who helped him hide the crime got by two years, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office said the men, on September 24, 2017, drank alcoholic beverages at the home of one of the culprits together with the victim. When a quarrel arouse, one of the culprits took a knife and stabbed the young man. The body was dragged to the garden and burned. Bones of the victim were found in over three months of the murder. The police were alerted by the young man’s mother who didn’t know where her son was.
According to prosecutors, the man who got life is aged 34. He was earlier sentenced to six years in jail for stabbing a person who remained alive.
The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
