A 54-year-old man from Briceni was sentenced to life imprisonment because he shot dead his godparents, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the two families rented a pond in their settlement. On March 22, 2010, the man went to see his grandparents. After drinking alcohol, the men started to quarrel. The godson went away, but returned with a hunter's gun and fired it at his godfather. The bullet penetrated also the godmother, who came between the two. The grandparents died on the spot. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
