The man who took revenge on his former love and her new partner killing them with a cudgel was sentenced to 16 years in jail. The sentence is not yet definitive, IPN reports.

The crime was committed in Balanesti village of Nisporeni district on February 18 this year. Jealous of his former sweetheart who left him and lived with his neighbor, the man took a cudgel and entered the couple’s home. Finding the two in the bed, the man hit them with the cudgel for multiple times. The neighbor, aged 59, died on the way to the hospital, while the 57-year-old woman died in two days without going out of the coma.

The suspect was arrested shortly afterward. The police found a suicide note on him, where he says that he intended to kill himself.
