The Chisinau City Appeals Court sentenced a man to 15 years and six months in jail for recruiting two adolescent girls to have sex for money, IPN reports, quoting the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The girls were in a difficult financial situation and the man lodged them in his apartment. As they didn’t have jobs in that period, he made them prostitute themselves. When the girls didn’t want to provide sex services to clients or to drink alcohol, he abused them emotionally and physically.

After four months of sexual exploitation, one of the girls filed a complaint to the police and the man was arrested. He pleaded not guilty.
