A man aged 55 from Crocmcaz village of Stefan Voda district drowned in the Nistru River. He went to fish under the water together with his brother. When advancing into the water, where there were powerful currents, he got stuck in branches and the ropes placed on the bottom of the river, IPN has learned from the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.

The man wasn’t equipped appropriately and couldn’t get out. His brother, who was on the bank, called the rescuers. His body was found in several hours at a depth of 11 meters, 20 meters from the bank.

The rescuers recommend those who want to fish under the water to outfit themselves appropriately and to receive the necessary training. There should be used special suits.
