Man from Hancesti falls from Chisinau bridge

A man from Hancesti district fell from the bridge situated on Ismail St in Chisinau, directly onto the railways. He remained alive, but suffered bone fractures and contusions of the internal organs. Evelina Rusu, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 56-year-old man who was apparently in a state of psychosis, told the doctors he fell accidentally, but all the circumstances showed he jumped. The man was admitted to the Emergency Hospital with a fracture of the right femur, three broken ribs and contusion of the internal organs. It is not yet known if the man is from the flood-hit areas. A woman, 31, stabbed herself in the elbow while under the influence. Another woman, 54, took pills in order to kill herself. Two men aged 53 and 68 died suddenly. The second man was in a bar on Milescu Spataru St, when he collapsed and died. A 46-year-old man from Edinet came to Chisinau to apply for documents at the Romanian Consulate. He was beaten and needed medical care. An ambulance took him to the hospital with abdomen traumas and intra-abdominal hemorrhage. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service responded to 694 calls, dealing with 57 cases of acute viral infection, 84 cases of trauma, four strokes and 15 deliveries.
