A young man from Grigoriopol was placed under arrest for 15 days after he repeatedly violated the 14-day self-isolation regime during a week, IPN reports, quoting the de facto ministry of the interior of the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.
The Transnistrian authorities said the 34-year-old man went to the right side of the Nistru River on April 3. When he returned to the left side, after filling out the epidemiological form, he was to respect the self-isolation regime for two weeks. However, on April 6, he violated the regime and was thus fined.
On April 12, the man didn’t respect again the quarantine regime as he went to the shop after cigarettes. On the way to the shop, the young man was stopped by militiamen, who arrested him for 15 days.
The Transnistrian authorities reported 151 cases of infection with COVID-19 and seven deaths associated with the novel coronavirus. The Transnistrian administration decreed a state of emergency and the persons who return to the region, even those who come from the right side of the Nistru, are placed in quarantine.
