A man from Fălești took a girl aged 16 and a boy aged 12 hostage, threatening them with a knife. The police were informed about this by the man’s life partner. The police managed to save the minors, whereas the man killed himself, IPN reports.

According to the Fălești Police Inspectorate, the incident happened in Ilenuța village last night. The 25-year-old man was inebriated and behaved aggressively. After the police officers managed to save the children, the aggressor threatened that he will kill himself. Attempts were made to stop him, but he ultimately committed suicide.

An investigation is under way to establish all the circumstances.
