A man from Edinet town found his house in ruins when he returned home from abroad. His house was first robbed and then set on fire, IPN reports, quoting the General Police Inspectorate.

The police arrested two suspects aged 22 and 21. They admitted that they stole everything they could steal, from computers to electrical screwdrivers, saws and toolkits. One of the suspects said that in order to hide the theft committed in the Edinet man’s home, they set fire to the house.

The damage caused to the victim amounts to about 1 million lei. The two suspects, who both have a criminal record, will be investigated for theft and for intentionally destroying property.
