A man aged 75 fell into a manhole on Ion Luca Caragiale St in the municipality of Chisinau. A passerby heard the man shouting and called the 112 Service, IPN reports.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the rescuers took the man out of the manhole that was almost three meters in depth and one meter in diameter. The man was taken to the hospital by an ambulance as he suffered leg injuries. His life is out of danger.

The man allegedly didn’t see the manhole that was open and fell into it by accident.

The rescuers urge the people to call the 112 Service in similar situations so that those who need assistance could be helped swiftly.
