A young man fell into a 3 meters deep hole after trespassing on a Straseni construction site last night.
The 112 call came in at around midnight. The 27-year-old remained conscious despite breaking a leg and was able to call 112 himself. The extraction operation lasted for about 20 minutes, after which he was taken by an ambulance.
A Straseni police spokesperson told IPN the man was visiting friends in the town and after having a fight with his girlfriend, he headed angrily to the train station, taking an unfortunate shortcut through the building site.
The Emergencies Service last year rescued 12 people from holes and wells, and this incident is the second of this kind this year.
