A Chisinau man was admitted to hospital in a critical condition after falling from the third floor. Doctor-coordinator of the Chisinau Emergency Service, Eufalia Negreata, says that the 49-year-old man fell down from the staircase of the apartment house in which he lives. As a result of serious injuries the man fell into a third degree coma. The police have opened investigations into the circumstances of the accident. A man, 39, died in his apartment on Dacia Blvd. The cause of his death is unknown yet. The case is investigated by the police. A 58-year-old man died in a minibus travelling on Edinet-Chisinau route and a 46-year-old woman died while on a visit. The woman suffered of second degree obesity. Five other Chisinau residents of 50-71 died the same day. Mumps and viral infections have made more victims in Chisinau. On Tuesday and on Wednesday night alone, the Emergency Service registered 54 cases of mumps and 211 cases of acute respiratory diseases. A total of 957 patients have been consulted by doctors.
