Man falls from roof on building site

A man was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries that he received when he fell from a height of about three meters on a personal building site. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Evelina Rusu has told Info-Prim Neo that the 57-year-old man was building a story on his garage situated on Nicolae Costin St. He slipped and fell from the roof and suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma, a concussion and a thoracic trauma. A child aged one year and a week and his mother of 28 were admitted to the Mother and Child Center after they poisoned with carbon monoxide emitted by a faulty boiler. The ambulance was called by a relative of the victims. An unidentified man in his 60s was found drunk at the intersection of Mircea cel Batran Blvd. and Zadnipru St. He did not look like a homeless person. Doctors established he suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma and a concussion. A woman aged 56 was struck by a car on Mircea cel Batran Blvd. yesterday evening. The driver stopped, went out of the car, insulted the woman and went away. The woman, who suffered a fracture of the forearm, memorized the car's license number and informed the police. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams dealt with 689 emergencies, including 56 cases of acute viral infection, 21 cases of pneumonia, 62 cases of trauma, six strokes, and 32 deliveries.
