A 60-year-old man from Chisinau municipality went fishing this morning and did not return. According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the man drowned in the lake in “La izvor” Park at about 10am, Info-Prim Neo reports. The man was fishing together with a friend of his, who could not save him. The rescuers found the man’s body shortly after arriving at the scene. Three persons drowned in the lakes and ponds of Chisinau municipality last week. The waters claimed eight lives all over Moldova on June 10. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service warns against swimming in unknown places and in deep waters, at night and while under the influence. In emergencies, one should call the 901 service.
