A man has died inhaling carbon monoxide and smoke from a fire he lit himself. The PR official of the Fire and Rescuers Direction, Liliana Puscasu, has told Info-Prim Neo, the tragedy occurred in Cimislia town. The house owner, aged 54, fell asleep his cigarette burning, and thus causing the fire. When the firemen arrived, the flames already had destroyed the room he was in. Damages to property and content are assessed at 12,000 lei. Children playing with fire led to burning a shed Besalma village, Comrat. The firemen managed to contain the fire which could have expanded to the house. A fire affected a warehouse of SRL Moldcards, located in Chisinau's Botanica district. The fire burnt polyethylene rolls and old tires, which emanated toxic gases and smoke. Most probably the fire was caused by a cigarette butt. 6 fires were recorded in Moldova the last day and night.
