A man, 48, died in a head-on collision that involved his car and a passenger bus near the village of Grigorievca, Causeni. On the bus, at least 29 passengers were hurt.

Police suspect the man caused the accident after attempting a dangerous overtake into oncoming traffic.

Following the impact, the bus, carrying 46 passengers, landed on its side and off the road. 29 passengers needed medical care.

Among the passengers, there were employees of the National History Museum, who were returning from a trip. The Museum announced that on April 27 and 28 the establishment will be closed.
