A man in his 60s died after he was hit by a car in a crosswalk in Chisinau last night. The accident happened at the intersection of the streets Ion Inculet and Pan Halippa. The victim’s identity hasn’t been established yet.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Chisinau Police Division’s press service Adrian Jovmi said the driver is 19 and is investigated outside jail. He faces 3 to 7 years behind bars and a four-year prohibition on driving.
