The body of a man aged 39 from Crocmaz village of Ștefan Vodă district was found in the yard of a house in the same village. The man was killed in the afternoon  of February 18, IPN reports.

Press officer of the Ștefan Vodă Police Inspectorate Silvia Vetcu has told IPN that the police were notified of the murder by an inhabitant of the village. The medical examiner identified signs of a violent death on the body.

It was determined that the victim and the man in whose yard the body was found drank alcoholic beverages together and then started to quarrel. As a result, the man hit the victim with a hammer in the head, killing him.

The suspect was arrested for 72 hours. Legal action was taken in this case.
