A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of intentional homicide. The victim is a 72-year-old woman from Taul village of Donduseni district, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the suspect is from the same village as the victim. It was preliminarily established that the man periodically borrowed money from the woman. When she refused to lend him more money, he beat her to death. It happened in the victim’s house. The suspect had previously been prosecuted and convicted of various crimes.

If he is found guilty of intentional homicide, the man will get 15 years.
