A Chisinau man, 31, tried to kill himself using a fork. The incident happened on Sunday, January 13. Doctor-coordinator of the Emergency Service, Ludmila Untura, told Info-Prim Neo, that the man, in a state of psychosis, caused himself a number of wounds in the left part of the chest and in the back. None of the injuries was lethal. The man will have to endure painful procedures in order to have his wounds disinfected and treated. The same day, a 47-year-old woman swallowed, with the same aim, a number of pills, and was admitted to hospital in a critical condition. This morning, a 55-year-old woman that was in a hurry to her job, was admitted to the Emergency Hospital with her collarbone fractured. The woman was hit by a Daewoo vehicle on Iesilor Street. Over the last day and night, Emergency Service doctors have registered 767 calls, including 94 cases of acute respiratory diseases, 50 cases of injuries, 3 brain concussions and 8 cases of mumps.
