The police arrested a man aged 65 on suspicion that he illegally kept munitions. The man, who is from Hancesti town, kept grenades at home, hidden in the stove.

The police carried out searches at the place of the man, who is a former combatant. He kept at home anti-personnel fragmentation grenades RGD 5. The bombs were found by employees of the Special Operations Division of the National Investigations Inspectorate. These were seized and will be subject to a technical-chemical examination.

The man said that he discovered the grenades. If he is found guilty, he will serve two to seven years in jail.
