A man and a woman became the victims of a robbery while travelling by car on the Chisinau – Leușeni road. Two men with balaclavas and guns robbed the two of a large sum of money. The police didn’t specify the amount, IPN reports.

The head of the General Police Inspectorate Viorel Cernăuțeanu told a news conference that the woman and man are citizens of the Republic of Moldova. The two are not related and are not husband and wife. They were heading for Leușeni and were robbed when they were at a distance of about 15 km away from the municipality of Chisinau. The victims called the police.

The police have two suspects, but cannot yet give other details. More information will be provided when the investigation is completed.
