Two persons lost their lives following Tuesday night’s storm. A woman was found dead on a street in the capital city under un uprooted tree. In Dubăsari district, a man died after he was hit by a branch that fell on the tent where he was sheltering, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate said that the woman was detected by an employee of the Green Spaces Association on Doina and Ion Aldea Teodorovici St in Buiucani district. The body was under a tree that fell to the ground. The woman’s identity has not yet been discovered.

In the other case, a 36-year-old man was with his family and several friends on the bank of the Nistru. When the heavy rain started, the parents took their children and tried to get out of the tent. The man did not succeed as he was hit by a large branch. His friends put him in the car and set off to meet the ambulance. Although he was already in the care of doctors, he could not be saved. The man died in the ambulance, on the way to the hospital.
