A man aged 30 and a 17-year-old teen were arrested on suspicion that they robbed an elderly woman in her house in Rezina town. The man admitted his guilt and is under arrest. The boy is investigated outside remand. The two are from the same town, IPN reports.
According to the police, the robbers forced their entry into the woman’s house, hit her and threatened her with use of violence. They asked for money and the woman gave tem 5,000 lei. After they robbed the woman, the two spent all the money on different goods, such as cigarettes and drinks, during a day.
Robbery carries a penalty of five to seven years in jail and/or a fine of 42,500 to 67,500 lei.
