Man aged 21 succumbs to COVID-19

A 21-yar-old man who was confirmed with the novel coronavirus died. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the man was from the Transnistrian region and suffered also from cancer, IPN reports.

The Ministry for May 24 reported five deaths associated with COVID-19 and 65 new cases of infection, one of which was imported from Portugal. There were done 2,723 tests for COVID-19, 947 of which were Rapid-Antigen tests.

Of the 737 patients with COVID-19 who are now hospitalized, 111 are in a very serious state and 16 of these were put on a ventilator.

As many as 1,158 persons with mild and moderate forms of COVID-19 are under treatment at home, while 14,300 persons are under supervision at home.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Moldova rose to 254,741, while of associated deaths to 6,080.
