A man from Petresti village, Ungheni district, is suspected of beating his wife to death. The case is probed by the district prosecutor's office, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the General Prosecutor's office. The man aged 34 is accused of starting a fight with his wife on May 30 on grounds she did not cook him the meal he wanted. He is supposed to have been drunk. The suspect took a wooden bat and beat his wife until she died, as their children were looking. The man also hit his son who tried to defend his mother. According to prosecutors, the man used to drink alcohol daily, and if someone reproached him for that, he became angry scattering fists to relatives and to those two minor children of his. Now the suspect is in custody and if he is found guilty of murder, he may get sentenced for life.
