A Riscani man has accidentally shot his 19-year-old son to death while resisting arrest on Wednesday night, MoI reported. A police patrol from the Riscani Police Commissariat was called by an anonymous person to a bar in Petruseni village after hearing gunshots. Arriving to the scene, the police established that a 46-year-old man fired several shots into the air from his legally-owned Baikal 422 pistol, for no apparent reason. The man, who appeared to be drunk, was summoned to follow the policemen to the precinct for questions. The man's son intervened, asking the policemen to leave them alone. Meanwhile, the father pooled a rifle out of his car’s trunk and threatened the policemen. When the son tried to take the rifle away, it was accidentally triggered, and the bullet hit the young man. He died on the spot. The man was restrained and taken to the Riscani Police Station. The case will be further investigated to determine all the circumstances.
